I wonder what happens if Goh Chok Tong becomes Minister Mentor, would MM Lee create another post for himself? A mentor for minister mentor? Guru Minister? What about God Minister? Maybe that's how close I think he wants to feel. ... Godly Mentor! GM for short.

Politcal apathy
Q: "Hullo Sir Man on the Street... Do you think the PAP model of governance is in the best interest of Singaoporeans?"
A: "Sorry. I don't know what you are talking about."
Q: "Let me repeat. Do you think the PAP model of governance serves the best interest of Singaoporean citizens?"
A: "What? What is PAP? I don't know what you are talking about. "
Q: "Oh let me phrase it differently. Do you think PAP is governing Singapore well?"
A: "I don't know. Don't ask me this type of PAP thing. I don't know opposition people. I only know garment is good."
Q: "Sir ..sir ... Where are you going? ..Don't run awaaaaay! Sigh ..news reporting sucks."
Your News People are so ever eager to broadcast the political 'plight' of oppositions, like as if they may win some LKY peanut news prize of something. And sometimes they overkill the oppositions and inform the public about a brawl within a certain unknown PKMS, and then you go ..."Woah there's another opposition party?? ..hmm more choices for next GE."
And more than once a month, they show you news about street fights and rioting in other countries, that have no impact on your live what so ever. Maybe it's just 'politcal fear mongering'? A Mordor word you don't utter in the Shire. So you start comparing the not so stable countries to your ever fortunate Singapore, as if by doing so will make things better over here, or are you just complacent by comparing other peoples misfortune?
You think saying something bad about PAP might put you in bad light and deliver slim chances of you not getting that dream job, that HDB unit, that dream car. Basically, you think there are government secret police all over. ISD! Booo.
Damn ..I wonder how many Hougang Residents who voted for the Workers Party are in jail now or maybe doing hard labour in some ulu Island. Better still... I wonder how many Workers Party members are under ISD custody? Maybe all of them made bankrupt and homeless! ...
Wait wait... how many of the poor homeless people out there, those digging at the dustbins, collecting cardboard boxes and gathering alumimium cans, voted for PAP? Maybe all of them did.

ay...i think the aljunied and former cheng san residents should seriously slap themselves for chickening out in the end. cheng san is now absorbed into PM's GRC...while aljunied is hmmm just another NEL city disgrunted. lol maybe the soil along the NEL has resident who aren't politically apathetic? no?

@jerlise - Aljunied GRC ..Maybe George Yeo needs to speak up more often ..he;s kinds getting too foreign. And then you have Slyvia whos like a breathe of fresh air. I looking forward to seeing PAP vs WP duke it out in the next GE. It was a close fight in 2006. As for PM's AMK GRC ..thanks to the 1/3 who didn't like his face, we now have the '66.6%' as a permernant politcal jargon/reference. Maybe I should buy a resell flat at AMK, donlt care how much it cost. Move there and then make my vote REALLY count. Muahaha. I hope PM don't sweat too much. :)
